AE Scripts: Bake Parented Transform

A couple of weeks ago I asked on Twitter if there is a way to get the motion from a parented layer and get keyframes for the child layer.
Someone Michael Gochoco just released a script that seems to give us a solution for that:
Bake Parented Transform is a “Name your own price” script over at aescripts.com
Make sure to check out all the other more than useful scripts!
Some inspiration for the weekend:
A really nice Ident for Chiller TV.
Not quite sure how that happens but either some people liked to watch my tutorial or there is something wring with the vimeo stats.
Drobo or No Drobo?

It’s time to buy another external hard drive to store some data and to backup everything properly. But unfortunately I am so over buying more of these blocks with weird power cables and mini usb ports. I don’t want to store more of these in the cupboard, only getting them when I need them, find a free plug and investigate who stole my USB cable.
A Drobo seems to be a good solution to all this. Only one box where I can put my data on. I get data protection on the drives with a raid and it’s easy to upgrade the HDD if I need more space.
I probably would take one of my “old” drives to make another copy of really important data for example my pictures and projects. Especially pictures are pretty important because you are not able to buy them back when you loose them during a HDD failure.
I don’t have any experience with a Drobo. I read some articles in different blogs and forums. All in all people are pretty happy with the product but it looks like there are some who have a lot of problems with it. Error messages and complete data loss scare me a bit and make the decision not too easy.
I am not sure yet which way to go: Buying normal, cheap external hard drives or go for a Drobo (or whatever you can recommend)?!
Finally I found some time to set up this blog.
I was planning this for quite a while now but was stuffed with work in the last couple of weeks/month and wasn’t sure how to realize it without any web design or coding skills. I had a look at wordpress, posterous and blogspot but Tumblr is my weapon of choice. It doesn’t look too overloaded and seems to have all the features I need for the moment.
I learned a lot in the last 8 month working full time as a Motion Graphics/Broadcast Designer for Fluid Post, a postproduction and design company here in Sydney. I am spending most of my working day designing promos for various clients including Nickelodeon, MTV, Dreamworks and Lifestyle Channel.
I am working with After Effects CS4 and Cinema 4D 11.5 on a 8 core Mac Pro so probably most of my posts will relate to these applications and Mac OSX.
